I've been here on TypePad for a long, long time. When you translate it from internet years, it must a thousand bajillion years or something. But there are a few things that have been gnawing at me lately; the biggest one is comments handling.
I get a lot of email from readers who say they tried to leave a comment, but it was lost in the ether. Other readers wish there was an RSS feed for comments; I wish that, too, but I don't have the technical mojo to make that happen with the tools I have on TypePad nowadays.
It may well be time for me to split, then. As I understand it, WordPress has won the battle for blogging platform supremacy. This pains me, because I hate that WordPress doesn't respect formatting like line breaks. But perhaps the time has come for me to move onward, past Movable Type and on to something else.
What does that something else look like, though? How much technical or design capability is it going to require from me to set up? And how expensive is it? Help me, dear readers. You're my only hope!
