I-CON 2008 Recap

I had a fantastic time at I-CON this year, and I'd like to thank everyone who came to see me talk, all of my co-panelists, and of course the organizers for the event who gave me a soapbox to stand on. I hadn't done this sort of thing before, and it turned out to be a really positive experience for me. You are all dynamic!

I also got to (briefly) meet a lot of people I've admired from afar for some time, including Teresa Nielsen Hayden and Jim MacDonald, Elizabeth Bear, and Debra Doyle. I was even able to rub the stars out my my eyes fast enough to behave in a civil and professional manner. No fangirl squeeing from me!

I made a micro-ARG for my presentation that I'll be writing about hopefully tomorrow. I'm also long overdue to discuss my thoughts on the Good Captain now that it's over, the Six to Start project We Tell Stories, and of course the McDonald's-plus-Olympics-sponsored ARG The Lost Ring.

There just aren't enough hours in the day, people.

Hey, I was one of your co-panelists for the Cheat Codes panel. Just wanted to say thank you for a great discussion and if there is ever an ARG coming out it in New York, I'll be more than excited to participate. Thanks again. :)

You can always use the sample ARG if you want/need to :) (http://www.jengibre.com.ar/arg2)

Hi, Nephtali, thanks for stopping by! I was just about to look for your email so I could send you a note thanking you for being a great co-panelist. ^_^ I'm sure we'll run into one another again someday.

And Andres, much as I love Jengibre (and I LOVE Jengibre) this was a micro-ARG intended to, er, market my talk to the people of the con. Which it did *very badly*. You'll see what I mean when I get around to posting it. ^_-
