For those of you who have been concerned that I will wind up wandering beside I-95 altering highway signs to conform to my mad, unemployment-addled cipher, fear no more! I have a new project on the horizon, and a whole new world to help build.
And no, although I would adore to work on Perspex City, an ARG about a dystopian future where there is no right to privacy, that isn't the direction I'm taking. Although I might be forced to write a short story to that effect, now that I've thought of it.
I'm going to be joining the team at Neogence to work on the upcoming MMO Immortal Destiny. I'm really very excited by the project, both because of the design vision, and because of the yawning blank canvas to be filled. I'm sure the development process is going to take a bit to get used to - I've spent years putting out fires and writing things no more than a day before they had to go up, and sometimes just a few minutes before - that having time to really reflect and (dare I say it!) revise will be an unimaginable luxury for me.
It'll be an adventure, and I'm really, genuinely looking forward to it. I love Perplex City with all of my heart, don't get me wrong, and I'm still a little melancholy about how it all ended. But it's actually pretty liberating to suddenly have something totally different to work on.
Now excuse me as I go snicker to myself about Perspex City a little bit more. I crack myself up!
